I’m here because I have to be,
I do not have a choice.
Yet even though I’m here I’ve learned
to always use my voice.
I’m quick to speak on any evil
I encounter here.
I will not be a part of making
people live in fear.
I’m quick to offer helping hands
to anyone in need.
I have no hidden motives,
no dishonesty or greed.
I feel that every person is
an asset to us all.
I will not point and laugh at them
or help to make them fall.
I strive to help each person be
the most that they can be.
This doesn’t cost me anything.
It isn’t hurting me.
I deal with enemies by never
making them at all.
I show respect to everyone
however big or small.
I’m here because I have to be,
I do not have a choice.
Yet maybe by my being here
I learned to find my voice.
